About us

Paddy Paws is a family-run business based in our own home. The idea started when we got our own dog, a lovely black labrador called Rosie. We needed someone to look after her when we went on holiday and really didn't want to put her in kennels. After a lot of searching we found a lovely lady who looks after dogs in her own home. Rosie had a wonderful time whilst we were away and we thought that we could do this ourselves! We really love dogs and want them to feel as much at home as possible when their owners are away.

Paddy Paws is a family business and is run by me, Trudi Mayo, my husband Anthony, and my sons Jamie, Jacob and William.

Before a dog comes to stay with us, we arrange an introductory meeting where you can meet us and your dog can meet our dog. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and make sure that you are happy with the service we provide. You will also fill in our registration form, where you can provide us with all that we need to know about your dog, and we can discuss any special requirements that you may have.

When dogs come to stay at Paddy Paws, they are welcomed as part of our family. They have the run of our house, can cuddle up on the sofas if they want to, and have access to our large enclosed garden. We have recently had a lovely new Conservatory built, which provides extra space for the dogs to chill out!

We do not have a large number of dogs at any one time - our maximum, including our own dog, is eight - this includes daycare & boarding dogs. We feel that this is important so that the dogs get the individual attention they need in a calm atmosphere. We are licensed by Bath & North East Somerset Council, fully insured and also CRB checked.
